Mridhulaa Rajagopal

I am an aspiring high school student interested in Neuroscience, Psychology, Language, & Physics. I discovered my passion lies in a commitment to advocacy for healthcare equity. As the founder of WeCare, I’ve been involved in increasing mental health awareness and advocacy, and I aim to improve access to mental health care. As an aspiring neurosurgeon-researcher hoping to provide free service to those in need, I have a deep interest in the brain and cognitive sciences, finding ways and experiences that enhance my understanding of the brain, the underlying physical processes, and human behavior and decision making. I also hope to pursue research in neuroscience to find a solution to the world's most pressing diseases. Furthermore, I have a deep interest in language, cultures, and how the brain processes these aspects of human life. As a part of Société honoraire de français and having won many national French awards, I’m very close to bilingual proficiency in French. I aim to apprehend the neural pathways behind language processing and also understand the various cultural aspects of the French language, hoping to pursue international dual enrollment in France in college. Besides developing my knowledge in my field of interest, I find joy in sharing my knowledge with others and building the community spirit. I tutor refugee children in Math and English, other High School Students for the SATs, and coach fellow students in debate as the founder of my school’s debate team. In addition to growing my communication and leadership, I’m also a nature lover, immersing myself every day in a transcendental experience in my garden, and an art enthusiast, specializing in Carnatic vocals, painting, architecture, and philosophy. I like to spend my free time with my family, friends, or by playing chess, tennis, or badminton.
