Chanyuan Gu
Chanyuan Gu received her Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience at the Hong Kong Polytechnical University (2024). Her research interests center around the neurocognitive mechanism of language comprehension in bilingual speakers and children. Using multimodal data and various neuroimaging techniques, she aims to uncover how the brain supports reading/listening comprehension and audiovisual comprehension, along with the impacts of individual differences spanning from cognitive capabilities to language experience. Alongside, she is also interested in the association between human brains and large language models during language comprehension. Ultimately, her goal is to gain a deeper understanding of how the developing brain processes language. Outside of research, Chanyuan enjoys watching dramas, hiking, swimming, and running.
